When my groin area is wet for long my body starts to smell bad and my mouth too !

Question:

When my groin area is wet for long my body starts to smell bad and my mouth too ? Any idea ?

Answers:

Dark moist areas are ideal for the growth of bacteria and fungus, with fungus being especially troublesome. Keep the area as dry as possible with powder. NEVER shave down there, as the hair keeps air circulating and prevents excessive wetness.

And do NOT wash there with anti-bacterial soap, as that destroys the normal, beneficial bacteria that are supposed to be there. The good bacteria keep fungus from growing. If you destroy them, then fungus has an ideal place to multiply.

If you are red and itchy or sore, ask your pharmacist for something to use on jock itch. If the problem is just odor, then letting the hair grow and powdering (Gold Bond is good) should help.

Mouth odor and groin odor should not be connected unless you have thrush (a fungus) from touching your groin and then your mouth. Thrush is going to cause a lot of problems besides odor, though. Maybe you just need to brush more often or see a dentist about a bad tooth?? Most bad breath comes from eating things like garlic or from infections somewhere else in the body, though. You may need a checkup from your doctor to find the cause.

Good luck.
