Question about weights?

iam 13 and was wondering how long would it take to stunt myg growth if i lifted weights

My thought on this....i didnt start lifting untill i was probably 14 now im 18 6'7'' 285 lbs. still lifting goin to college to play football....i never saw a purpose in lifting before high school. I would suggest doin things that would not require a lot of heavy lifting like running, riding bike, abs, pushups, pull ups, stuff that basically can get you in shape and prepare your body and muscles to do more weight than your body...i never did it this way i just jumped right into weights with my football team....and it took me a long time to get up to bigger weights. if you want workout routines or something shoot me an email
