Question:
Does running help build or deplete muscle mass?
I am on a routine of dieting and workouts, and was wandering if i started to run a mile or so about every-other day, would i gain body mass or lose it?
Answers:
If you did sprints you'd put on muscle mass but otherwise you would lose fat not muscle mass. You might burn a bit of glycogen but the can be replenished with rest and the right diet. So if you did about a mile every other day and kept a good nutritional regimen, would lose fat and not muscle.
