What is right above a man's pelvic bone on the right?!

Question:

What is right above a man's pelvic bone on the right?

My husband Slipped in the shower this morning. I ran to his aide as fast as I could, to find him lying in the bathtub with the shower curtin and rod down on the floor and the water still running. I shut the water off, and franticly asked him if he was alright? He just kept holding his side and complaining. He said that it scared him more than anything. It hurt for a bit, then it stopped and it's fine now. Well, thats where he hit it. (Right above his pelvic bone on the right side.) and Now I'm scared about internal bleeding or somethin glike that. So please tell me if you think he's okay, and what is right above a man's pelvec bone on the right? (he also had no med. ins.) THANKS A BUNCH!

Answers:

i'd be more concerned about what caused him to fall. if he slipped on some soap that's fine, but if he just fell for no reason then there may be something else going on. the fall itself doesn't sound like it caused any major damage. if his abdomen starts swelling and feels hard or distended, if he gets nauseated, feverish, starts passing blood or starts showing signs of confusion you would want to get him to the er. otherwise he should watch his footing better and get some non-skids for the shower :)
