Definately a Pro is that you are getting protein into your system which will help build muscle back up...depending on the quality of the protein powder it may be almost equal to natural proteins found in meat...for some people this may actually be better because they cannot digest red meat as well as other people can...
The con is that you are not getting natural protiens and may be allergic to the chemical proteins or other additives in the powder...also taking the powder but not working out can cause you to gain fat weight....
Taking the protein powder is better than not taking in any protein at all...as long as you follow the directions...
