What age do males' balls drop?!

Question:

What age do males' balls drop?

My eight year old son, says he feels different down there..I am a mommy I don't know what to tell him..does it have to do with ejaculation? Do i need to worry about him being sexually active? He knows more than he should about sex...

Ok my son is more worried about girls than play station, he has already asked me how many grand kids i want him to give me, and the whole reason for me asking is because he said the end of his peter was cold and wet and he felt like there are little worms crawling in his balls...

Answers:

Most males testicles descend into the scrotum before birth. In some males they don't drop until early childhood (toddler age). But and 8 year old that has undescend testicles should probably be looked at by a doctor because that is not normal (although it does happen from time to time for some preteen boys).

When a boy is entering puberty (12-13 years old) their scrotum gets looser and their testicals start to hang much lower. This is usually around the same time that their voice begins to break. Usually, this is what people are referring to when they say "his balls have dropped". In other words, that is just slang for he is becoming a man now. But it's not meant to be taken that literally. Technically his balls have already dropped years ago, they just dropped a little more later on.

Most children know more about sex (at least the in terms of function) than adults realize, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to worry about him trying it. At 8 years old, he probably is just noticing that he has erections from time to time. That is probably the "funny" feeling he has down there. Most boys can't actually ejaculate semen until they are about 12 or 13 years old even if they have been masturbating for a few years before that.
