Condom question?

Does it actually matter if a condom if expired?
i.e. is it still usuable?

and WHY exactly does a condom expire?

im just curious for the most part

BTW you guys this was completely out of curiosity im not actually planning on using an expired anything regardless

The vast majority of condoms are made from Latex which is an organic compound that does decay. If you leave them around too long unused, the Latex weakens and increases the chance of failure.
