Is it bad to be a vergin?

im a gay male who lives in the middle of noware that is made up of cornfields and more cornfields. i hate it and want to move to the city, but anyways...i have some gay friends [just friends] who are about my age, 15-16, who lost their verginity along time ago/recently...you get the idea. but im still a vegin, when i tell them they say "oh" or "thats cute" or "thats ok, holding your verginity is a good thing...for a girl", but saince i live in the middle of noware and my parents are homofobic i dont have much options.
by the time i am older and move in the city, will it be too late? do people see being a vegin as "bad"?
whats your opinion on this?

first of all im not religous so dont pull the "the bible says" on me then be like "your weard for being gay", arnt christians suppost to guide me to the light anyways?
