I have been out of the gym for awhile and wondering if there are any trainers ou!

Question:

I have been out of the gym for awhile and wondering if there are any trainers out there...?

I'm 6'6", 31, and have packed on the bulk over my build, which used to be impressive. I re-started my membership back up and am unsure if i should concentrate on taking the weight off through cardio before concentrating on building my muscles back up. I seem to do this vicious cycle of packing on muscle, getting lean... then dropping out of the gym for a few years. Each time i weigh more and more when i go back. I'm a brawny 350, now, but look like i should weigh 240, because the muscle is pretty much invisible under the flab.

I HATE weighing this much (and being this tall) . I broke a chair, not long ago and it's humiliating. Life isn't built for giants like me.

Any suggestions?

I'm no trainer but I lost 55 lbs two years ago and know my way round.
You are right about it, you should do more Cardio first, you can concentrate on lifting weights later on.
Start a high protein diet consiting of loads of fish, turkey breast, chicken breast, red meat like steak if you like.
Beans are a good protein source as well just like Pineapples, Kiwis, Bananas (not too many fruits though, they still contain sugar). Nuts are good too (especially Walnuts and Cashews, not salted or coated though). Protein shakes if you like.
Drink a lot of water (and I mean loads) or tea,I suggest Artichoke tea, it helped my metabolism.
Good luck, it will take a while but I wouldn't despair at all.
