Can a TENS machine be used on muscles to increase weight loss? (for example making the muscles more active?)?

I have heard that they do not work at all, but then again, if the current is making the muscle twitch.. it must be burning more calories than without..

im not sayin or asking if it will make someone slim lol, i mean surely it will tone the muscle?

Making the muscle twitch does not equate to muscle use...you are not burning calories nearly as much...in other words...it does not come close to comparing to exercise...
