Question:

I heard that if you are young like 13 or 14 and you lift weights you will stay the same height all your life.?

I am 13 can i get a six pack if i do 200 crunches a day for a month? And if I do about 100 push ups a day for a month can i have stronger muscles and a strong chest? Please could you try to answer al 3 questions? THANKS

Answers:

First question is a rumor, Thirteen is a good age to start working out, make sure you only workout using your own body weight as resistance though. Which would be push-ups and sit-ups, among other types. You will eventually get a "six pack" with regular sit-ups daily. Since everyone is different it might take less or more than 200 daily for one month. For thirteen I would say 50 in morning, 50 after lunch, and 50 before you go to bed. And continue till you are satisfied. For push-ups I would suggest doing about 15 three times a day. And of course if you keep this up you will build muscle. They call it building muscle because when you workout and feel that "burn" in your muscles it is breaking them down and when you feel "sore" that is the muscle re-building. It will build it self stronger than it was before. And over continued workout you will see the difference. And you might want to start changing the amount of repetitions to make sure you always are feeling that "burn" This way you will know you have done a sufficient work-out.

Cheers
