What Kind Of Doctor Does This???

I'm looking for a doctor that does adult male circumcision, does anyone know what kind of doctor does this? How how much does it usally cost to have this done? THX.

Adult male circumcisions are usually done by surgeons or urologists (best to go with the urologist, it falls under his specialty). I don't think a general physician is trained to do it unless it's an emergency, unlike a pediatrician or ob/gyn.

It's cost depends on your insurance. If it's not medically necessary it probably counts as elective surgery (like cosmetic surgery) and thus might not be covered. In this case it can be several hundred dollars, and if it's covered, chances are it's not totally covered and the co-pay might be a couple hundred.

I would advise against it if nothing's wrong with your foreskin as is, as circumcision will remove a lot of nerve endings found in the foreskin that may otherwise contribute to sexual sensitivity (link 1). And in addition, it may not feel as good afterwards compared to before (links 2, 3).

So if nothing's wrong you might not benefit and it'd just be a waste of money. But it's your body and your decision, and good luck with whatever you decide.
