I have a pain in my groin?? Prostate infection query?!


Question:

I have a pain in my groin?? Prostate infection query?

I have a pain/ache in my groin that goes around up and around my back...i've been to the docs and he gave me anti biotics for what he said was a prostate infection....a week later the symptoms are worse...Could this be something else..has anyone else had this?

I don't have blood in my urine but i do have a feeling of being constipated all the time, but i'm not, sometimes i get shooting pains down my legs....My docs a waste of space didn't take a sample or anything

It could be something as simple as a hernia or even a trapped nerve in your back.
But you must insist that you have a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test, and get a referral to a consultant at the hospital to rule out any underlying illness. Although generally our Dr's are really good at their jobs, they often find easy answers to symptoms that should be investigated.

Insist that you get a referral to the hospital, and keep on till you get seen.

Keep positive, but be firm with them too.
