How many push ups a day should i do so my chest can get more muscular?

Push-ups do affect the chest and it's not the number a day that you do, it's the amount you do to make your pectorals think they've got to grow bigger which means the number increases gradually.
Something called a 2-minute drill several times a day every other day helps. It goes like this:-
1. Do the most number of push-ups you can do, comfortably.
2. Retain that number as your maximum.
3. Let's say it's 20, it goes like this
4. Do 20 push-ups, wait a few seconds, do 15 push-ups, wait a few seconds, do 10 push-ups, wait a few seconds, do 5 push-ups and that's it several times a day.
5. Does not have to be 20, can be 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 or 15, 12, 9, 6, 3 or any variation of gradually decreasing numbers.
7. Your starting number will increase after some time as you get stronger and believe me, you will get bigger pecs.
