Bumps/rash while shaving???!

Bumps/rash while shaving???
After I shave my stomach and chest, in some areas i get a red rash thing. I dont know if it is because i dont use shaving cream or what? If you have any ideas please let me know and explain what shaving cream exactly does.

first, why are you shaving your chest and stomach? If you're that hairy, how do you shave your back? All kidding aside, if you do it because you think its what the women want, think again. There are plenty who like hair.
And.... think about this.... do you like a women whos got stuble? I'm sure they don't like it either. In my eyes, I cant see anyviable reason for shaving unless you're a competitive swimmer.
