Why do I bleed when I shave my neck with the blade in the opposite direction of !

Question:

Why do I bleed when I shave my neck with the blade in the opposite direction of the growth of my hair?

When I shave with the blade down, I don't bleed and I don't get a close shave. I was told to get some kind of cream for my skin. Will cocoa butter help my skin plump up?

Answers:

Happens to me too! I get a better shave when I mix my shave cream (half and half) with a skin moisturizer. I am somewhat fanatical about a close shave and it is not unusual for me to take 15 to 20 minutes for a good one. Also, I will shave in the shower using patchouli soap. I seldom get irritation or nicks with this.
