Question:

What does your penis look like after circumcision??

i just got it 3 days ago, and right now it looks bruised, the skin is pruny, and on the top of the head, theres yellow stuff and yellow liquid coming out. is that normal? if not, how is it supposed to look??

Answers:

Normally, that's not normal at all. But since you got circumcised, it's fairly "normal" insofar as that's what the body does after injury.

It's bruised because many capillaries and blood vessels under the skin were severed or damaged, and they need to heal. The skin gets pruny because it's drying out. The yellow stuff/liquid might be lymph fluid since it can't drain into your body normally until it finds/makes new connections. The buildup of lymph might also cause some swelling. I've read that in some guys, the skin on the glans (penis head) kind of peels off, like sunburned skin, and the skin underneathe that is a bit tougher and less sensitive (which kinda makes sense).

Basically, your penis will probably look like that until it heals (which can take 2-3 weeks). Generally unpleasant, don't know why some guys would choose to go through that (or people to inflict on infants) unless there's a medical necessity. Just make sure it doesn't get infected, which is obvious if you see pus (thick white, yellow, or green mucous-like secretion).
