Losing 15-20 Pounds for a 20 year old Guy?

I am 20 Years old at about 200 even 5'11 looking at my weight and height I would like to be down to the 175-180 range, Im very athletic play baseball in the summer and flag football in the fall and spring. However i feel like im not in the shape I know i could be considering how active i am. Carbs and Sweets i realize are hurting me the most and am sure without them that would help but any other suggestions on tightening up and looking good and being generally more fit in a reasonable amount of time would be greatly appreciated.

Answers:

Cutting out carbs completely is a bad idea (it will effect your baseball game, you will have less energy). Cutting out simple sugars is a fantastic idea. Maybe start lifting some weights, you don't have to get big and bulky but lifting weights will build some muscle and help you loose fat much quicker.
