Is it harmful or helpful to do sit ups everyday? How many should I do?
I know with most muscle building workouts you should have a day of rest in between, but does that go for situps as well?
Answers:
Some people like to do them every day, but it is possible to overtrain your abs, so best to have a day off after 3-4 days training. Go for 3 sets of 20 to begin with, once a day. Then up this to twice a day. Then increase to 4 sets of 20 twice a day. To add variety, try weighted crunches too, with say 30kg on your chest.
