Rubber Gloves
Paper Roll
Scraper
Bucket
Appropriate Detergent Solution Cloth and Bucket (soft floor) Mop and Bucket (hard floor) Wet Floor Signs
All spillages must be dealt with as soon as they occurCordon off area of spillage with wet floor signs if possibleIf liquid, blot up excess with paper roll (making sure rubber gloves are worn) or, ifhard floor, mop and bucket.If spillage is solid, e.g. food, fasces or vomit, remove excess, using paper roll or scraper (make sure rubber gloves are worn).Using the disposable cloth and bucket, on a soft floor gradually work the detergent solution into the fabric on the outer edge of the stain flfst, then progressing towards the centre of the stain. This will prevent further spreading of the stain,
On a hard floor, using the mop and bucket and the appropriate detergent solution, mop in a figure of eight fashion over the area of the stain.On soft floor, blot up excess detergent solution with paper roll, rinse if necessary and allow to dry.On hard floor, rinse mop and wring as dry as possible then re-mop and allow to air dryThoroughly wash all equipment and discard paper roll and cloths
