Question:
In crowded areas,why men have to spend much more effort on voice than women?
I'm male. In crowded noisy areas, when I'm talking to a women on the other side of the table, she has a hard time hearing me, and I have to put lot of effort and air pressure in my voice to get it heard. But she speaks effortlessly as usual and the voice is heard clearly. Does this apply universally or is there some problem with my voice?
Answers:
I think it's because men's voices are deeper - it is harder to hear deeper sounds over long distances and with other noise in the background.
Whereas women's voices are more high pitched and you can hear high pitched noises easier over a further way away.
