My son is worried that his penis is too big?

My son is nearly 15, and he is worried that his penis is too big. He says he hasn't measured it, but it seems big to him and doubles in size when erect. I told him that was normal. He is small for his age, and a bit of a late bloomer, so I don't think it's likely to be above average.

The thing that bothers me is the only reason I can think of for him thinking this is that he's tried to have sex with a girl and hurt her. He says he hasn't, but where else would he get this idea?

I'm very worried about him, and his father (my ex-husband) is out of the country at present.

Is this something I can take him to the doctor for without looking like a hysterical mother? Or how can I get him to tell me or another adult what the real problem is?

Any advice from other parents or those with medical backgrounds?

I don't want him to show me!

Size is not a big matter, the most important is girl get to use it. Even you get a flag staff size but no girl use it, it better to dump it.
