Trimming question?!

Trimming question?
I was just hoping to get some input of guys that have trimmed their chest hair or know anything. I believe when you shave hair on your body or whatever, it does grow back hairier if let to grow back. I don't think trimming would do that, because you are really cutting the hair out or taking it off, but just shortening it. But I just want to make sure of this. Thanks

I have shaved and trimmed and I didn't notice a difference either way. What I mean by difference is there was no extra hair or more hair later on. BTW, I have been doing this for years and I don't look like a giant bush....it looks the same as when I first started doing it. I am thinking of some electrolysis for some areas though.
