My pulse reached 175 when i was working out. Is that too much for an 18 year old!


Question:

My pulse reached 175 when i was working out. Is that too much for an 18 year old??

it maybe has been a while since i last worked out but i think 175 is way too much. alot of my family members have diabetes could that have something to do with it or is it just normal????


Answers:

To work out what heart rate you should be training at -
220 - your age (18)
202 is your max HR
For fat burning -
202 x 0.65
131-141 is your fat burning zone
For cardiovascular training
202 x 0.85
151-161 is your CV zone.

Make sure that if it has been awhile btw sessions, see how you feel and get a program written up for you by a trainer/gym instructor. That is what they are there for.
