when i workout my body recovers the other day usually, but other ppl ask to take an extra day off. So is my body doing what others does with an extra day? And will taking an extra day off anyway help me gain 'Weight' faster?
cuz im 5 11'/ 130 lbs.

Answers:

It won't necessarily make you grow bigger. But when you work out, you strain your muscles so they "snap" That breakage point is what makes you feel sore. The reason your muscle gets bigger is because more muscle is healing that gap and filling it up. So when you work out when your sore, it doesn't really help that much but just make you more sore. Other people are taking an extra day off to make sure their muscles recover to full strength so they can have a complete day of lifting rather than a half day. Generally, you want to take 2 days off a week and never work the same muscle group two consecutive days.

So in conclusion, no that you will not gain more weight, you will just have a more productive next day or day after next day of lifting when you're at 100%. Even if you do work in consecutive you're muscles will "snap" but eventually they will heal, they will just take longer if you over work them. So again, no it will not make you gain more weight.
