Enlarging ear piercing what am i doing wrong?!

Question:

Enlarging ear piercing what am i doing wrong?

well,i want to use an earing which is much bigger so i thought of going step by step as if i enlarged it to such an extent on such short notice it would hurt a lot.so now my hole is constantly bleeding when i change earrings and on some days when i change my earing when i wake up it seems to secrete a yellow pus or mucus like substance even so,it does not hurt one bit..........my ear hole is currently about the size of a toothpick which is what i normally put into it as i have no earrings which fit me well right now........please help school is starting in a few days......i live in asia no summer

Hey. No problem. Lots of people enlarge thier earring holes. Sometimes they actually get little kits with different sized tubes that they insert, but thats really not necessary. The puss and discharge is probably just a little irritation or infection.. I get that on my ear piercings all the time.. Just try pouring a little peroxide in there to help get out any possible infection. Next thing, I think the toothpicks are just fine.. I know alot of people will probably tell you differently, but I've done lots and lots of piercings and I know quite a bit. Although, if you dont have a kit, this sounds kinda cheesy, but I know it will help. The best way to enlarge it is to move up guage by guage. Try finding a paper clip or pin or nail just a little larger than you existing hole. If its a pin or nail, sand the end down first so its not so painful. The just clean it off first and put it through a few times a day. Next day find something a little bigger and do the same thing. Keep doing that on and on until you finally get the right size. Like I said, I know it sounds a little wierd but I know it will help! I hope this helps you and take care! :)
