"I need to loose some weight and all I have to work with is a treadmill!!..!

"I need to loose some weight and all I have to work with is a treadmill!!.."?

Financially challenged vet, with a renewed commitment to fitness, working out in my (subpar) apt complex fitness center. The only piece of equipment that works is the treadmill! If you were a 5'9, 190, 34w, 28yo male, and all you had to work with is a dated treadmill what would you do??. ..


Answers:

At 5'9 and 190 pounds, you need to go down to around 160 or 165 pounds. At that weight you would look quite lean. Thread mill is fine. Use it at least 20 minutes a day (regardless of distance or whatsoever). This is good for your heart and lungs and most of all burns all of those unwanted calories. Though you should not over do it. You need to maintain a certain pulse beat per minute to maximize your jog and avoid over heating. I forgot how to calculate it. Drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated. Avoid very cold water. To reduce your abdominal area, do some crunches, sit ups and side bends using dumbells or a pole (more than your arms if extended). Side bends reduces those flabs on the sides of your abs. Becareful in executing crunches or sit ups, you might injure your back. To develop the chest region, do push ups. This also develops portions of your arms. There are stuff around the house you can use as an alternative dumbel. Use books instead (same weight off course). You should never forget the usual jumping jacks, cat stretches and others. To develop those legs and calves, go up and down the stairs. If you have a bike, bike around the neighborhood. Get involved in sports like swimming or basketball.

Reduce what you eat. You can eat all you want in breakfast (the most important meal of the day) and then as the day progress slow down on your food intake. If during snack time you eat like 3 bags of chips, reduce it to 2 bags, then 1 and then get a healthy alternative snack instead. During diner time you should be eating less. Food taken in the evening is usually turned into fat because there is not much activity in the evening. That is why you have to rest early so you wont get cravings for a midnight snack. You can try eating fruits instead as a snack.
