Trouble When I Have Sex With My Partner.?!

Question:

Trouble When I Have Sex With My Partner.?

This is kind of embarrassing b/c I'm not even 40 yet.
But, I take a large prescription of anti-depressants and I was told by a Urologist that they tend to "relax" the prostate making it difficult to keep an erection, much less ejaculate.
I also have been single for some time so I am use to taking care of business personally. I think I got use to it feeling just right.
I tried the Viagra type meds, but they are so expensive to keep buying and using.
It's not my partner either. She's great and I try my best to satisfy her in other ways, but she feels like it's about her since she isn't able to satisfy me which is far from the truth.
I can't stop the meds, and I've run out of ideas on how to let my mind go and enjoy the intimate moments with her.
Anyone have some constructive input or advice?

Answers:

As a first step, I would definitely try to stop worrying about it. I know that's a lot easier to say than do but stressing about not being able to perform will only make things worse. As a second step i would probably try to cut back on the "taking things into your own hands" if you get my drift. It will make it easier to get aroused when you're with your partner. Third, depression has a serious affect on libido in both men and women so its not abnormal to have the problem you're having so try not to feel terrible about it. I'm not sure where you live but if health care is free (or you have insurance) see a psychiatrist about battling depression without meds. Its hard but many people are learning to cope and "rewire" their brains as it were - I say this because this is obviously the root of your problems and battling it would be a HUGE win for you. Good luck and best wishes.
