Does anyone know what its like to be sterilised (male)? Does the procedure hurt and what are the after effects?

I had this done several years ago.it souped up my sex life no end it is quite painless It is only itchy when the hairs grow back I have had no after effects and i havenot heard of anyone having any problems good luck
