Question:

When should a boy start to pull his foreskin back to pee?

My son is two and when he wees to goes every where. Pulling back his foreskin would prevent this. I dont know what to do - help

Answers:

In most boys the foreskin is fully retractable by age 3, though sometimes (fairly rarely) it's not retractable until he's well into puberty.

You could try to retract his foreskin, but do so very gently and slowly. If you feel resistance, or he shows pain/discomfort, stop immediately. You should never force the foreskin back if it can't go back very easily.

Next time he urinates, it might be useful to watch him to make sure he's aiming right. Sometimes he might point his penis in one direction, but urine might exit the penis and in a different direction due to how the foreskin might be arranged. If it sprays everywhere, then you might just have to wait it out until he can pull back his foreskin.

Ideally, he should be the first person to be able to pull his own foreskin back, but whatever. In any case, your son's problem isn't a particularly major one, and is fairly normal (and one that will disappear as he gets older). See the link for more info.
