"Private" Problem - My Uncircumsized Self?!

Question:

"Private" Problem - My Uncircumsized Self?

Hi. I am a 16 year old male. I am not circumsized. One time when I was thirteen I heard that I was supposed to clean my penis by pulling the foreskin back. I pulled my foreskin back to reveal a few clumps of whitish material around the outer most edges. I quickly ran my penis under the shower head to eliminate this unsightly imperfection. However, upon contact with the steaming water, I quickly recoiled, surprised by how sensitive the area was. I gently cleaned it off with a washcloth, but even this caused pain. Now, three years later, I have been scarred by this event. I have yet to attempt a "penis sweep" again, for fear of the pain. Now I ask you: Should I be afraid? Could there by a vast layer of scum beneath my wrinkled foreskin just waiting for a chance to spread infection? How should I go about cleaning this area; due to its exceedingly sensitive nature I am not sure that traditional bodily methods are appropriate? Also, when I urinate, should I pull my skin back ? (I dont)

Answers:

Too much sensitivity? That's the function of the foreskin.

However, the sensitivity should be enough to give you a strong sensation, not discomfort.

I had this when I was younger.

What you want to do is just start off with water (cup it with your hand against your stomach then drop it gently over the head) then as days go by start rubbing it little by little until you can eventually rub it all the way like I can. It'll work. =)

E-mail me if you have any questions. Once you clean that white stuff, it won't return. It's just there because you didn't clean it when you were younger.

As for when urinating, it's up to you. Obviously you've been doing it all your life, you should know! =P
