Is it possible for the growth plates in your arms to close before the growth pla!

Question:

Is it possible for the growth plates in your arms to close before the growth plates in your legs do?

Just wondering if this ever happens because I have really long arms for my height and was hoping my legs would grow to be proportional. armspan= 5'9.5 height= 5'5

Ok this is kinda wierd. I went to the doctor last fall when i thought i fractured my ankle. She took an x-ray and said it was fine she also told me i still had room to grow taller. Last week i went to get a bone age x-ray. They took an x-ray of my wrist and said I was done growing. I havent grown noticebally taller since last fall so i am confused

oh and i worry about it because i hate being this short

Answers:

Might be possible.
But i would advise you to go see a doctor and explain why you worry about it.
Some blood tests can be done to see what is going on.
And if there is a problem :it is fixable
Don't worry
