as a personal trainer in studying, i can give you some advice thats helped me shed four stone of fat, if you find it hard to motivate yourself to exercise, first set out some reasonable goals, such as losing a certain amount of weight, or gaining a certain amount of muscle, next set a deadline, and then plan when to exercise, three times a week is enough, for about an hour, depending on the intensity.
Try keeping a log book, and record what exercises you have done, when and what distance, or weights were used, and also all the food you eat, so you can better tell where your failing and need to improve.
Another good motivator is to join a gym where you pay monthly, this might motivate you to use the gym as much as you can to get your moneys worth.
If all else fails, hire a personal trainer.
