New housemate has bad hygeine, what do I do?
I have a new housemate and he doesn't shower, brush his teeth or wash his hands after using the toilet. What do I do?
Answers:
Be Honest and thoughtful. There may be other problems in his life affecting his behavior, so be considerate but direct. After all, it is your home too, and some things simply may not be acceptable in communal living. Explain what your problem is with his behavior, and ask that he adjust to some degree. It's best to do it this way because if you wait too long it could progress into something worse, and the longer you wait the harder it will get for you to talk about it and for him to listen.
