That is definitely a sign of hemorrhoids and no they are not dangerous. But they can be painful if you don't get them treated. Go to a gastroenterologist and let them know that you have a problem with it. They can tell you what to do to get treated.

your poop could be too big to pass and if you strain it could tear anal tissue.

Drink more WATER and stay away from anal sex.

Heres stuff about it..

Hope i helped! ^.- Good luck.

In someone your age, it is probably from hemorrhoids. Passing a hard stool is the most common cause and it causes small tears which then bleed and then form hemorrhoids. You can stop this process by increasing the fresh fruits and vegetables (both raw and cooked) in your diet and increasing dramatically the water you drink daily. Then, your stools will be softer and will allow the hemorrhoids to decrease in size and not bleed any more. There are also over the counter creams that you can use when they itch and burn. They are not dangerous.

Have your family doc do a rectal exam and check for hemorrhoids - they're treatable. Also, make sure you are getting enough fiber in your diet. An easy way to make sure is to take something like citri-cal daily for awhile and see if the bloody stools go away.
