Heart murmurs???? help?!
Question: ok im very healthy, athletically built, im 5'9, weigh 170 but somehow i have a heart murmur. I know about the innocent and abnormal ones but my question is how would you be able to tell (without medical equipment, ex. stethescope) if it would be life threatening. Any help?

actually i do have heart murmurs to i was diagnosed to have CHD or congenital heart disease i had thid since birth.
i visit my cardiologist everytime i feel that i have difficulty in breathing and i undergo ECG and 2D echo w/ doppler. with 2d echo you will see on a video how and whats the prob with your heart.

how do you know you have a heart murmer? the only way to definitivly diagnose that is by going to a cardiologist.
If you have any kind of pain, chest or arm, shortness of breath, I would seek med. attention!!
You can only be able ot tell if its life threathening if the doctor told you and if you all ready feel the pain.
My doctor told me i have a hart mummer and that it is the result of a hart valve that leak,s slightly. and it is no big deal. I cant say that is your problem though.
