Do I have it?!


Question: my tonsels are always swollen, but they hurt today so bad and there bright red and Im coughing horriblilly. My boyfriend has got strep throught and hes only kissed me on the cheek(since he has strep throat) my tonsels are even more swollen than befor and im loosing my voice. I am very percasious I wear a coat whenever I go out side. Do I have strep throat now? My boyfriend gets strep every christmas anyway do I have strep throat or not?

Well, not very smart to kiss even on the cheek, because the germs are on your cheek and travel into your nose and mouth.

1. First, check your lymph nodes. They are located right below your chin on the side of your neck, basically where you feel your pulse, and under your armpits. It they are swollen, or if they hurt, then that would be a symptom, but not necessarily.

2. Ask your boyfriend or someone to take a magnifying glass and check your tonsils. If there are white spots or dots, then you most likely have it.

3. If you have these, im sorry, but you have to go to the doctor, and get a test. If not, then fight it off.

Go to the doctor and get a strep culture

Go to the doctors and have them swab the back of your throat, it wont take long for them to decide if you have it or not. And if you do have it, you just might get some pills or a shot of penicillin. I had strep before. Nothing big to worry about.
