What is "group c bacteria"?!


Question: my doctor thought i had strep but i tested negative for that, and tested positive for something called group c bacteria. what exactly is this? is there a generic name for it? i have a sore throat, headache, trouble breathing, achy body, etcetera.

Most cases of strep throat are caused by Group A streptococci. It's also possible for other bacteria like Group C streptococci to cause the same condition, although it's more common in farm animals and extremely rare in humans.
