Bladder Infection?!

Question: Can someone have a bladder infection without the pain? I think I have one but it does not hurt to urinate. I just got over one about a week and a half ago and felt fine for a fews days... but just a couple days ago I started having the urgency again. Can there be an infection without the pain?

Absolutely. Go back to the doctor and have your urine checked again. The antibiotic you received may not have been given long enough or may not have been effective on the bacteria you have. Have them grow a culture.

Yes - it could still be an infection. You might not have gotten over the one you had a week ago. Did you take antibiotics? These infections can be very serious if not treated and could travel to your kidneys, which would hurt very, very bad. Try to go to your doctors and get a pee test right away. Good luck.

There can be an infection without pain. It may start that way but as it gets worse the pain will likely develop. If you get it treated right away, you may not get to the stage where there is pain. If you've finished your antibiotics and you feel it is still there, go back to the doctor. You may need a further round of antibiotics to get rid of it completely..

drink vinegar....and then wash your mouth with water to prevent the effect of vinegar on your teeth....but the vinegar is good for your bladder

Yes it is possible to have an bladder infection without pain as infection can be mild / serious. UTI is more common in women than men. If you are a female, then make sure to wipe from front to back after going to the toilet. This is because one of the causes of UTI is that bacteria travel from the anus to urethra and enters our body, causing infection. And the distance between the anus and urethra in women is shorter than men therefore makes it easier for the bacteria to make their way up. Another thing that helps with reducing the reoccurence of UTI is by drinking cranberry juice (only help in some cases, depending which microorganism it is caused by - but no harm to drink it, right?).

However if you only have the urgency to urinate but no other symptoms, it might not even be the reoccurence of UTI. One needs to have multiple symptoms to confirm UTI or urine / blood test also help to rule out other possibilities. Please take a look at this link for other symptoms as well. http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/ar...
