Answers: I am not sure if I have cat allergies since I have adopted a cat. Are u allergic to cats

No, but I HAVE cats. The symptoms are pretty obvious when people come over who are allergic. I keep Benedryl at my house just in case. Itchy eyes, burning eyes, sneezing... it's pretty unbearable. If you haven't had a cat for a while, you may have initial allergies, but they go away. I left my cat with my mother when I went away for college (she refused to give him back when I finished college, lol, so I had to get kittens) and whenever I came home, I was allergic to my cat for a day or two.

Anyway, there was an article released about why cats are attracted to people who are allergic to them. I sent it to my cousins boyfriend because he's allergic and my antisocial cats decided that he was their favorite and spent the entire time he was at my house trying to crawl onto his lap. The gist of the article was that people who are allergic to cats avoid them. Cats are territorial and prefer to be ignored when a stranger comes into the home. If you try to pet them right away, they don't like you. If you ignore them and give them their space, they will crawl all over you.

Anyway, give it a week and see if your allergies go away on their own.

sneezing, itchy eyes, red eyes, your nose my feel like hair is glued to the outside of it!weezing if its a bad allergy.

I have an allergy to crtain cats not all... weird

All of the above. I got allergies to cats, as soon as I get to someones house that have a cat even if the cat is not in the same room I become very ill. You will know.
