I have had Super ventricular tachycardia, mitral valve prolapse, and WPW...(see !

Question: Doctors tell me 'no this, no that'. I need the truth, though. Can I and should I have alcoholic drinks, energy drinks, tobacco, or salt?? Also, what is a good idea for controlling these diseases? Keep in mind that I have had a Cathedar Ablation surgery in '05, which took care of my WPW, but have had a child since and am only 18. Doctors say it could and may come back, so I'm saying to consider that I may now have it.

WPW is a genetic disorder of the heart where the conduction system basically starts out of its original point of origin usually in one of the bundles in the left atrium. They probably recommend that you dont do any of that stuff because in theory anything that would throw your heart rhythm out of the ordinary i.e. any of those things you listed could cause your heart to miss one of the main conduction pathways and send your heart into a lethal rhythm a.k.a....you die. So as a person from the medical field I would say do what they tell you because they know more than you do. But as a person I would say do it but be careful about it because you only live once so you mine as well have fun ;)

Well, I'm no doctor, but I wouldn't consume anything that may depress my bodily systems (alcohol) or put any extra strain on my heart (tobacco, energy drinks). I know this may not be what you want to hear, but listen to your doctor. If you don't trust your doctor, get a second opinion.

Yes, It can come back, your problem is complex. Stick with a group of several cardiologists (not a solo) because each may contribute to your well being.
