Help - DRY CRACKING SKIN???!

Question: Every year around October or November, my hands get so dry that they start cracking and splitting and bleeding. This continues straight thru all the cold weather. The skin is so rough. I have used every lotion known to man and nothing seems to work. Does anyone have a secret miracle idea for smoothing my hands and keeping them from cracking open??? Thanks!

Have you tried Eucerin? If not then give it a try. You need to use this body cream three times a day. It really works.

You are very welcome. Report It

  • OH MY GASH! there's this lotion thingy i got from walmart its called "miracle hand lotion" its like 18cad and its really working for me... if your looking for something cheeper try vaseline, it didn't work for me though... good luck with that! :D

drink lots of water so you will be hydrated thus preventing cracks on your skin also keep yourself warm so the natural occuring oil from your body will not be lost.

continously apply lotions those medicated one's from vaseline i think.

try also rubbing your nose...lots of oil are there to moisten your hands

I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING FROM THE CHEAP TO EXPENSIVE, AND THE BEST LOTION I HAVE FOUND IS FOR YOUR FEET !!!
I USE GOLD BOND FOOT CREAM ($5.00 AT WALMART)
IT IS THE "BEST" I RECOMEND IT TO EVERYONE THAT IS WITHIN THE SOUND OF MY YELLING VOICE! JUST USE A SMALL AMOUNT AT A TIME, IT SOAKS IN INSTEAD OF JUST SITTING ON YOUR HANDS.

Warm, not hot hater is better in the shower. Get a humidifier for your home. Switch to neutral soap. Eucerin is great, and my dr. recommends something called "bag balm" which is for cows udders, but can hypothetically be found in wal-mart's pet section, or perhaps at a farm bureau.
