I'm surprised not many people do this.

Use aloe vera gel first...But then use VASELINE.
My 8 year old got burnt alot in the summer, I applied a layer of aloe vera lotion all over, and then smeared on the vaseline until his skin was greasy, and let it soak in. Do this 3x a day and it will go away.

impossible

After sun really help even Vaseline thats the cheaper option and still as effective. Just remember next time to use lots of suntan lotion and ALWAYS use after sun on a night after you have showered this way you will not get burnt

apply lots of aloe. this should help. two days is plenty of time.

Vinager in your bath water. It won't help much, but at least you'll smell like a beet and look like one. Tip#2: Never move to Texas if you don't like sunburns. It's good to have some colour to you during the holidays!! Merry Christmas, I'd give ya' a big hug, but your sunburned!!! KTnTexas

get some tomatoes, squidge them up and apply. The juice will soothe and heal. Or use some aloe vera, or have a hot bath with some lavender in it. I know the hot bath will sting, but afterwards you won't hurt anymore! (tried and tested after being frazzled from the lack of ozone in NZ).

Don't use vaseline, that's the worst thing you can use!

'Scuse me, just who are you wanting to make jealous, obviously it's wonderful that YA is so global but I'm in freezing in old UK 45 degrees and we're all walking round like 4 by 4 woolly munchkins and we'll be lucky if at least our bathrooms see any degree of our naked flesh till May.
However, I have over-indulged myself in this department in the past when we get our occasional two days of summer and can only offer the following advice:
1) Although it sounds a bit obscene I have found washing and showering not to help as it removes natural oils from the skin, which it needs to heal.
2) Great fan of olive oil myself, skin, hair, salads, everything.
3) Light chiffon type covering garments for evening wear which keep you cool and hide the damage for a while.

Panama Jack Aloe Vera Rub

I know this may sound a bit weird to some, but Pure Emu Oil is really good at reducing redness, pain & speeds the healing.
Probably due to its hydrating & anti-inflammatory properties.

If you're a veggie then Aloe Vera is pretty good.
