Help I'm sick and I don't know what I've got?!

Question: My legs feel weak everytime I get up and walk. They feel shaky but they aren't shaking. And i have this faint dizzy feeling to. When I first get up in the morning or from sleeping for a while I can't see far away very well. It's all blurry. Also I have alot of mucous in my throught that I keep coughing up and spitting out. If I blow my nose i usually get mucous in my throught then I cough and have to spit it out again. I've had this for almost 6 days now and I it won't go away. I stayed home from school Thursday then on friday I was feeling a bit better then I went downtown that day to but i was sick that afternoon. On Saturday I was sick and sunday to and today on monday I'm still sick. On Wendsday I kind of felt shaky in the legs though. My friend has this to and he's been extremely tired but I havn't been extremely tired lately. He got tested for stuff at the doctors but all they said was it was a bad cold. I don't know if I have a bad cold or what so can somebody please help?

My guess would probebly be you have more of a severe sinus infection. Which you will need antibiotics to get rid of. Sinus infections can cause you to feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, and they can also give you blurred vision as well. The mucus in the back of your throat would be your sinuses draining. Sinus infections can lead into other problems like bronchitis. You can try taking some antihistamine like benadryll if the drainage is severe. Truthfully though you should get to the doctor and get checked. If it's a bacterial infection it will not go away on it's own and you are going to need antibiotics.

check with the doctor

If you have a lot of mucous in your respiratory tract or a respiratory tract infection, you could not be getting enough oxygen to your body which would make you feel tired, dizzy, and shaky.
I would go to the doctors and have them check you for pnuemonia and bronchitis. You may need to be started on some antibiotics. Make sure you drink plenty of decaffeinated fluids and keep eating as long as you feel up to it.
