Is it possible I have an overactive thyroid?!

Question: When I was younger I was VERY VERY abnormaly skinny.
I ate ALOT and was hungry very often but no matter what I never gained weight.
When I was 12 I only weighed about 75 or 80 pounds.But when I turned about 13 or 14 it eventually stopped.
Now I think it's happening agian.
I lost about 3 pounds and I have been feeling tired more often and hungry ALOT.
I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night absoulutley starving.
I have also have been having touble sleeping and and feeling anxious.
I do how ever have hypochondria and have for the past two months have been really stressed out worrying about having a serious illness and worrying that I am dying even though I had no real symptoms. I Woke up crying sometime, waking up thinking I have a serious Illness.
I haven't had an episode like this in about 5 years so I am wondering if the anxiousness that often comes along with the illness brought on this episode.

You should go to the doctor and get a blood test. I have an overactive thyroid, mines called Graves disease, and the symptoms you have are very similar to mine. It is easily manageable with medication.

You should see a Dr. Either way something is going on. Get medical attention ASAP

Yes, hyperthyroidism is very possible. You need to see a doctor, explain your syptoms and have some blood work done to find out your thyroid levels. Hyperthyroidism is nothing to play with. The thyroid hormones must be maintained in a correct balance at all times. Please know that the symptoms that you are experiencing may be due to something else and only a doctor can be sure.

Yes you could have a over active thyroid. If you are very tired and very skinny and have trouble keeping weight on you may have this. You need to see a doctor and tell them and they can do the tests and send you to a endro. Doctor.
