Question: I never sweat. I get really hot and feel like I'm gonna get really sick and its scary but I never sweat. I can't stay in the heat because my body doesnt sweat to cool me down. Is there a name for this? How do I fix this. Thanks.

How much water do you drink during the day?

Has a doc diagnosed this?

dunno but it sounds weird may be dangerous if you get to overheated go get checked out jst to be on the safe side

look his up on internet and aslo go to ur doctors for help that sounds bad

hmmm....thats odd...im not sure. But maybe your body needs more water. in order for your body to sweat, it needs fluids, and water is the best choice. So my advice....drink lots of water! Stay hydrated!

=)

well that is seriouse you need to drink lots and I mean lots of water and also let ur doc know just in case please that worries me and I dont even know u and pluse give me a star

Only a doctor can ansewer this

Maybe your body fat count is very low, say 10 or 12. You dont say your weight. Generally the more fat index then the more sweat. Always best to seek medical advice. Have to go now, as I got a flush.

This can be the results of an extremely poor diet. increase you fruits and veggies and water, cut back on all fast foods, processed food, dairy and meats.

i dunno, i have the opposite effect i sweat pretty easily

You might have ectodermal dysplasia, an inherited disorder. Go see your doctor. Also check out:

drank more water

I have this condition and drinking more water does nothing to cool you down. All it does it make you feel more bloated. You are not dehydrated, your skin is getting hot and flushed and you are feeling fluish even if your body temperature is not rising. Unfortunately, I don't have the answers for you either as I'm struggling though this myself, but I can tell you what I have tried in past years. When it was at its worse, I went online and bought a cooling vest that I put in the freezer that I then would use to do outside chores like mowing the lawn and stuff. When I excercised at home, I would have the airconditioner on and I would also use a plastic spray bottle and spray water on my skin to keep it cool. I use an umbrella in the summer when I go for walks even though it looks stupid. I wear loose clothes and avoid alcohol, coffee and spicey food in the summer. I also eat small meals in the summer. I find that any lotion on my skin makes me feel hotter so I avoid suntan lotion and moisturizers in the summer with aloe vera being the exception.
Things that I might try experimenting this year are taking a betablocker like propanonol to slow my heart rate down a bit to feel cooler and have less skin flushing. I might also experiment taking Sudafed as it constricts blood vessels and makes you feel colder. Unfortunately, it also raises blood pressure so I might not be able to try this. I have also heard that neurontin is also good for hot flashes in women.
Medications to avoid would be most antihistamines as well as most medications that give you a dry mouth.

(I got my reduced ability to sweat from overexposure to high temperatures to heat from working in a foundry. It damaged my sweat glands in my skin.)

If I were you, I would get a your B12 level tested and a diabetes test. Good luck to you and stay cool.
