Can you change your blood type after massive blood loss?!

Question: No. Your blood type will never change. A person (depending on what type blood they have) can only receive specific types that would correspond with their own (A positive can get A positive or O negative). O negative can only receive O negative. And so on...

If you ever do receive a transfusion, the antibodies in your blood will change but NOT the type.

no..
(I don't think so)

The blood type you were born with is there to stay.

No. You cannot mix blood types. If you are type A for example, your body will reject type B if it is put into you no matter the quantity.

So basically whatever blood type you have is yours to stay.

No, because your blood is made by your bone marrow, which will continue to make the exact same type of blood no matter what happens to the blood it's already made.

no

No, massive blood loss won't change your blood type.

It is an extreme rarity. This quote is from wikipedia.

"Almost always, an individual has the same blood group for life; but very rarely, an individual's blood type changes through addition or suppression of an antigen in infection, malignancy or autoimmune disease."

No You can not.

No, this is absolutely impossible. If your blood type is A and blood type B got into your system, your body would reject it and it could result in death. This is why nurses and doctors are very careful when doing surgeries or transfusions. This is also why there are waiting lists for certain surgeries. The bloody type needs to be compatible.
