What do these little aches near my heart mean?!
Question: For the past 6 months I have these dull aches in my chest, mostly on my left side. I am obviously not having a heart attack because i am still alive, but they are very alarming. My dr seems to think its stress related, and has not done any other tests. I am 25 years old...drink occassionally, just quit smoking a month ago...it feels like i need to stretch that side or something. very strange...anyone else get this???

Have a nice day. You did upset me with your response to my question only because I have severe anxiety attacks and feel like I am going to die. I don't take the subject of death very good, especially when someone says your going to die. Anyway thanks for apologizing! Didn't mean to freak out as my mom says.

Sounds like it could be a circulatory problem, tissues not getting enough oxygen and the like. Start taking Fish Oil daily, I'm not a doctor, but that can't hurt!
I agree that it could also have to do with food. I get that a lot depending on what foods I eat. I also get a "stitch" kind of pain in that area sometimes that is muscular. I wouldn't be alarmed, could be what some call a "growing pain".
