There are no documented cases like this. As the ER Dr. said, theoretically it could happen but it would have to be IMMEDIATE contact with the animal (like if you and an HIV positive person were both attacked by a dog at the exact same time).
Additionally, with the exception of some primates, animals cannot be carriers of HIV, meaning they don't carry it in their blood like humans do.

It MIGHT be THEORETICALLY possible IF the animal had JUST drawn blood from an HIV infected patient and IF there were blood on the claws/teeth and IF the animal then inoculated another individual. In such a case, this would be similar to an exposure suffered by a health care worker with a solid (not hypodermic) needlestick. The rate of seroconversion to HIV after such sticks is exceedingly low. And the kind of transmission you are talking about is exceedingly rare, if it occurs at all. I'd be interested to know if anybody out there can find a documented case. If something like this has happened and you're worried, see a doctor.

Good question! Yeah an animal can get infected from aids if he bites u or straches u enough to get blood out of ur system
