You're right, you can get STDs from anal sex. If you plan to have it, make sure your boyfriend wears a condom. Make sure to use extra lube though, because anal sex can put more strain on condoms. Although make sure the lube doesn't have Nonoxynol 9, because it can damage the lining of the rectum.
Now for your main question. Yes and no. From the actual act of anal sex, you can not get pregnant, but afterwards, semen can leak out of your anus and get into your vagina, leading to pregnancy (not likely, but possible). That is if you do it without a condom. So clean up really well afterwards if you do it without protection.

It sounds like you aren't having vaginal sex, but if you do or plan too, but start with anal sex, make sure your boyfriend switches to a new condom or cleans his penis off before he inserts himself into your vagina.
